This study abroad program sends you to the artistic heart of Italy, Florence. With courses available in everything from art history to international business, you'll be able to take classes in your major while you have the opportunity to find out what life in Florence is really like.

The program combines a mandatory 3-credit Italian language course (all levels available) with other courses in art history, economics, international business, history, political science, literature, media studies, and visual arts. Courses integrate local resources and immerse students in the Florentine environment through on-site learning. Field trips are included, arranged by program faculty.

Living Accommodations

Students are assigned space in double rooms in apartments shared with other program participants. All apartments are within walking distance of听SRISA and furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, and communal living space. Apartments usually do not have telephones; cellular phones may be rented from SRISA. The Office of Student Services is available throughout the term to provide assistance with housing needs, maintenance and utilities.

Costs and Financial Aid

Costs听for one semester:

The cost of a semester in Italy is equivalent to the cost of 91快活林最新版 tuition; the cost of accommodations is paid directly to SRISA.

The听costs include:

  • Tuition
  • 24-hour emergency assistance
  • Some art supplies
  • SRISA student ID
  • Orientation and welcome dinner
  • Housing in shared apartments
  • Institute facilities
  • Cultural activities
  • Some day and weekend field trips
  • Italian cooking or wine tasting lesson

*Please note: Students are required to pay a $500 security deposit when applying that is fully refundable upon completion of program based on room condition.

Students are responsible for their own meals. Living quarters include well-equipped kitchens. The program fees also do not include: travel to/from Italy, textbooks or course materials, cell phones, meals, course lab fees, and optional excursions and activities.

A Resident Director, student services coordinators, and a housing coordinator are available to students

Financial Aid

Students' financial aid can be applied towards the cost of their time abroad. Questions may be directed to the Office of Financial Aid. Students from other institutions should contact their respective Financial Aid Office.

Transportation

Students are responsible for making their own flight arrangements. Students traveling together on the specified dates are responsible for their own transportation to the school.

Refund Policy

The refund policy is in accordance with the policies of 91快活林最新版.

Travel & Documents

A valid passport and visa are required for this program since it is longer than 90 days.听Students will be responsible for arranging and paying for their round trip airfare. 91快活林最新版 will advise all students of the best flight connections for timely arrival at the destination of study. Students will arrive on a normal tourist visa to Italy.

All students will need a valid passport that continues to be valid at least six months after the conclusion of the semester program in Italy.

It is necessary to take proof of health insurance coverage, as well as your 91快活林最新版 student ID, and a second form of official ID, such as a Driver's License.
